- Description
- PURPOSE: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) solicitation for a firm fixed price construction contract to provide improvements to the Mountain Home National Cemetery located in Johnson City, Tennessee.The project will occur in the older historical section of the cemetery and has the following scope:A. Demolish administration/maintenance building and wooden storage building.B. Install public restroom with electronic gravesite locator (kiosk) in the location of the demolished administration/ maintenance building.C. Construct equipment storage building with maintenance yard.D. Construct covered material storage bins at maintenance yard.E. Install irrigation system with booster pump.F. Repair and install roads, curbs, and gutters.G. Install sidewalk at committal shelter for handicap accessibility.H. Repair or install cut-ins at sections in cemetery for handicap accessibility.I. Replace flag pole lighting.The types of work and skill sets for this requirement are as follows:a) Clearing grubbing operationsb) Civil Site work and developmentc) Vertical building constructiond) Roadway and paving constructione) Install commercial irrigation systemsThis is a Pre-solicitation Notice. This Notice is being issued for planning and informational purposes only. This notice is not a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice, nor will the Government accept proposals as a result of this Notice. The plans and technical specifications for this requirement will only be available upon solicitation issuance.NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: The anticipated NAICS code is 237990 (Other Heavy & Civil Engineering Construction) with a size standard of $39.5 MillionTYPE OF SET-ASIDE: Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The anticipated release date for this solicitation is on or around 2 January, 2020.SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Offerors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (www.sam.gov) at the time an offer is submitted in order to comply with the annual representations and certifications requirements.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Specific information pertaining to this procurement will be available in the solicitation.
