- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSISThe DLA Aviation - FMAA is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting marketresearch to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement forLEAD,IGNITION,ENGIN, Aircraft, Stratolifter, C/KC ; NSN: 2925-01-418-7618. The result of thismarket research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable NorthAmerican Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336412.“THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT AREQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOTBE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORMARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD ACONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAYFOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATIONSUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLYVOLUNTARY.”If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide thefollowing information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephonenumber, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statementsaddressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims oforganizational and staff capability. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order todeliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure ofsuch arrangements.[Note: In accordance with FAR 10.001(b), agencies should not request potential sources to submit morethan the minimum information necessary.]The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to 1) provideservices consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated; 2)secure and apply the full range of corporate financial, human capital, and technical resources required tosuccessfully perform similar requirements; 3) implement a successful project management plan thatincludes: compliance with tight program schedules; cost containment; meeting and tracking performance;hiring and retention of key personnel and risk mitigation; and 4) provide services under a performancebased service acquisition contract.BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH,THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE UNRESTRICED, SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES ORPROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.
