THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONTHIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF ANTICIPATED FORTHCOMING REQUEST FOR QUOTATION.*******************************************The DLA Contracting Services Office Richmond, VA, Division 1 intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a vendor to provide all qualified labor, materials, tools and equipment for the installation of automatic breaker controls so main breakers will close automatically after a power outage. The installed system will monitor the utility voltage, main circuit breakers and tie circuit breaker status, and main circuit breakers and tie circuit breaker current trip switches. In the event of a loss of utility power, the system already opens the main circuit breakers. The new controls will act to selectively reclose the main circuit breakers after a time delay, once utility voltage has been restored. The controls will not reclose the main circuit breakers if any operation of the current trip switches has occurred. In this event, the reclose controls will lock out and an amber warning light will be lit on the control panel.NOTE: Contractor SHALL be a certified Eaton switchgear repair company.This is an “unrestricted” procurement.The NAICS is 238210It is anticipated that the award will result in a single award, firm-fixed price contract. The anticipated solicitation date of the solicitation is on/about January 2, 2020.The official solicitation will be posted at https://beta.sam.gov/ Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued.
