- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCEFAR 8.405-6Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Direct TV, under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), ""Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized.""The proposed procurement is for the purchase of satellite television services for televisions at the VA Medical Center in Lyons, NY. Currently the leased equipment is already installed and in use. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 515210 Cable and Other Subscription Programming. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider responses received by 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on December 20, 2019. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to megan.ross3@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
