- The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Command, Control, Communications, and Information Technology Service Center (C4ITSC) Contracting and Procurement Division (CPD), intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order for Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) and Power Distribution Units (PDU) for the Coast Guard Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (TISCOM) Fast Response Cutter (FRC) Project. The following equipment will be purchased - Manufacturer: NOVA Power Systems Part Name:Uninterruptible Power Supply Part #:UPS1-2.4K-1G-SRNDTI-F2E QTY:8 Manufacturer: NOVA Power Systems Part Name: 22" Accuride Slide Rail Kit (3307-22) Part #: OPTION CT-13C2 QTY :8 Manufacturer: NOVA Power Systems Part Name: SRNDTI-F Series Input Cable and PDU Part #: 100-16781-PR QTY: 8This equipment is sold exclusively by the OEM - NOVA Power Systems. This equipment is proprietary to NOVA Power Systems, so these systems may not be purchased through any other vendor, reseller, or distributor. The USCG's FRC architecture uses NOVA Power Systems UPS’s and PDU’s on all installed C4ISR equipment. This equipment has been historically used and has been customized to meet USCG specific requirements. This firm fixed priced contract will satisfy the immediate need for lifecycle sustainment of Coast Guard FRC C4ISR installations. While other companies manufacture similar products, they are not compatible with the current electrical architecture on the FRC. Introducing other types of products into this architecture will result in an unacceptable alteration of physical infrastructure on the FRC and compromise the integrity of the system.
