Description
The Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) Space and Operations Directorate (A3/6R), Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado hereby issues the following special notice.The purpose of this announcement is to formally communicate the Government's plan to conduct a Range Activity Customer Exchange (RACE) event to provide Government and industry range customers an overview of future and current business, technical and operational practices at the Eastern Range (Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL) and Western Range (Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA). The RACE event will occur at 1030 S. Florida A1A Building 989 A, Conference Room A1-S3, Patrick AFB, FL 32925, on 16 January 2020 from 0800-1600 EST, and 17 January 2020 from 0800-1200 EST. The RACE agenda items will be informational only to provide Government and industry mid-level managers with key insight to range interactions. The RACE agenda is subject to change prior to the event.Day 1, 16 January 2020 - The Government plans to present information on current activities and future LTRS initiatives. Range of the Future - Enabling Concept, Architecture Integrated Master Schedule, Future Divestitures Concurrent Operations - Range Turn Time Policy, Guidance and Direction - Automated Flight Safety System (AFSS) Implementation Memo Spaceport Concept and Overview - Preserve national security objectives within spaceport discussions, Spaceport TTX After ActionDay 2, 17 January 2020 - The Government plans to present information on current activities and future LTRS initiatives. Facility and Utility Modernization - CE Projects, facility and utility sustainment and modernization User-Specific System Sustainment - Launch support systems long term sustainment Weather Overview and Updates - Weather Launch Commit Criteria Future Range Contracting Considerations - Follow on contract structureThose interested in participating in the event should contact AFSPC Points of Contact (POC), Mr. Kahn Scalise and Ms. Julia Graham by email prior to 20 December 2019, 1600 MT. Attendance is limited to 5 individuals per organization/company. Within the email, please provide: each attendee’s full name, email address, phone number, organization/company, date of birth, driver's license state, driver's license number, and indicate if they are a U.S. Citizen.The POC will provide confirmed RSVP attendees with the final details of how to gain access to Patrick AFB. Each attendee will be required to bring a Government-issued photo ID such as a current driver's license, Common Access Card (CAC), or passport, and current proof of employment (e.g., company employee badge).This special announcement is not a request for proposal, a request for quote or a solicitation announcement. This is not an effort to acquire products, services or technology. No product sale pitches, services proposals or solicitations will be entertained during either Day 1 or Day 2 of the RACE event. Information contained in this announcement is based on the best information available at the time of publication, is subject to revision and is not binding on the Government.
