CABLES AND COMPONENTS - PSC 5995- NAICS 335929Anticipated RFP Issue Date: 13 December 2019 - Anticipated RFP Closing Date: 07 January 2020 - 2:30 PM Eastern Standard TimeITEM DESCRIPTION- Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for cables and components to support Gun Bay and AN/ALQ-218 harnesses. These purchases are needed to support fleet repairs and testing across the EA-18G platform. These cable assemblies are pivotal to the proper repair and operation of the systems. The systems provide airborne situational awareness and signal intelligence (SIGNT) by detecting, identifying, locating, and analyzing sources of radio frequency (RF) emissions. This will be a five year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.The proposed contract action is for supplies, which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with authorized resellers of Brand Name Times Microwave Systems Inc., cables and connectors, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i). This is being restricted to the Brand Name products because these cable sets are used to stimulate the EA-18G’s Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Suite. The AEA suite incorporates these cables and parts at the system level and must be sole-sourced to Times Microwave Inc. due to the specific electrical characteristics these items require to achieve full system performance. Various cables and connectors are matched sets, meaning the phase matching and electromagnetic performances are matched to each other. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
