- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, has a requirement for approximately 125, 240-liter tanks of liquid nitrogen per year to support various research projects. Delivery is planned for 2 locations at VA facilities in Jamaica Plains, MA and West Roxbury, MA. VA is conducting market research and is seeking Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) or Small Business (SB) to meet this requirement. This is not a solicitation; it is a sources-sought notice to determine if sufficient capabilities exist to warrant a set-aside of this requirement.The West Roxbury group will keep two tanks in the research area 2B124-03-WEST ROXBURY. There will be a standing order of one tank every Monday or Tuesday if Monday is a Federal Holiday. When one tank is empty, they will call the Contractor, and order a new tank. This tank shall be delivered as soon as possible, preferably next day unless there is an emergency where this cannot be accomplished. The WEST ROXBURY campus has no reserves to draw on so when they are out of liquid nitrogen they must get the needed tank immediately.The Jamaica Plains facility will keep one tank outside 127-1A-JAMAICA PLAINS and call and order a replacement tank when this one is empty. This tank shall be delivered to the warehouse for delivery to 127-1A-JAMAICA PLAINS. The Contractor must be safety trained to remove the hose from the empty tank and attach it to the new tank on both campuses. Contractor must be located in Massachusetts. Customer also prefers to order by phone or online. Vendors shall currently be VA Vendor Information Pages (VIP) verified or verified by the date of award which is anticipated to be February 29, 2019. The VIP website is www.vip.vetbiz.gov. SDVOSB s, VOSB s or SB s believing they can provide the services and meet the verification requirements should email a capabilities statement to Phillip.crockett@va.gov no later than November 8, 2019.Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall not be considered.� The submission of any data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned.� The Government does not intend to pay for information.� A Base + 4 option years purchase order contract is anticipated.
