Description

The U.S. Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service (Fiscal Service) has issued a sole-source task order to SDAC Facility Services, LLC, 14510 SW 284th Street, Homestead, FL 33033-1632 for standby generator maintenance services at Fiscal Service’s Liberty Center building in Washington, D.C. This task order has a base period of 9 months, 15 days and has three 12-month option periods.The requirement for standby generator maintenance services was previously awarded to Potomac Generator Service and Repair of Beltsville, Maryland under award TFSAFSA150008. At the time, Fiscal Service was unaware that generator maintenance services could be awarded to SDAC under the firm’s existing Building Maintenance and Operations (BMO) contract. The generator maintenance tasks to be performed would have fit the scope of the BMO contract; in addition, generator maintenance is such a small percentage of total O&M that it would have had no effect on competition. In accordance with FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(C), Fiscal Service awarded the sole-source maintenance contract to SDAC because it is a logical follow-on to an order already issued under the BMO contract, provided that all awardees were given a fair opportunity to be considered for the original order.Interested parties shall note that this posting satisfies the requirements of FAR 8.405-6(a)(2)(i).Responses to this posting will be considered only as market research for similar requirements in the future.
