Description
DESIGN AND RENOVATION OF EXISTING DAYROOMS IN BARRACKS, FORT WAINWRIGHT and FORT GREELY, ALASKA THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The US Army Corps of Engineers is conducting market research to facilitate a determination of acquisition strategy. The determination of acquisition strategy for this acquisition lies solely with the government and will be based on this market research and information available to the government from other sources. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is conducting this market research to identify businesses which have the capability to perform the following work:The scope of this project includes the design and renovation of existing dayrooms in barracks located on Fort Wainwright, Alaska (approximately 28 barracks) and on Fort Greely (1 barrack). The work shall be in accordance with Request for Proposal documents.The dayrooms vary in size and quantity. Project will include expanding smaller day rooms into larger ones; opening up larger day rooms into an open concept; repairing interior walls; interior painting; repairing/replacing ceiling; door hardware; lighting; providing infrastructure for installation of security cameras; providing infrastructure for WiFi capabilities; providing infrastructure to existing CQ offices to support security cameras; updating existing common kitchen areas; and creating a CQ office in barracks that do not have one. Work will also include providing common kitchen areas in some of the day rooms that shall support a sink area, a refrigerator, residential range and cabinets for storage. Depending on the age of the facility, work may include related abatement of environmental hazards. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is anticipated between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The performance period will be approximately 730 calendar days.The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building, and the related small business size standard is $36.5 Million. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT FOR QUALIFIED PRIME CONTRACTOR FIRMS ONLY. Packages should include the following information:(1) Business name, address and business size under NAICS 236220(2) If a small business, identify small business type (HUBZone, SDVOSB, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business, etc)(3) Demonstration of the firm's experience as a prime contractor on projects of similar size, type and complexity within the past five years. List actual projects completed and include project title and location, a brief description of the project to include dollar amount of the project and work that was self-performed. Responsible sources demonstrating relevant experience and the capabilities to perform the work will be considered. System for Award Management (SAM), as required by FAR 4.1102 and 4.1201, will apply to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered prior to award.
