Description
Pre-Solicitation Site Visit for Large Machining Center Refurbishment Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) will be hosting a pre-solicitation site visit in the effort to seek interested parties in bidding on an upcoming specification for a turnkey project to completely refurbish and upgrade (overhaul) two (2) Floor Type CNC Horizontal Boring Mills (Machining Centers). All of the machines support systems and accessory equipment shall be overhauled or replaced with new systems and equipment to meet or exceed original equipment manufacturers (OEM) specifications. The contractor shall be responsible for uninstalling, removing and all shipping of the CNC machining centers. The contractor shall remove the CNC machining centers to be overhauled one at a time for processing. All work to overhaul the first machine shall be completed and the equipment reinstalled, operational and accepted before the second machine is taken out of service. The Government will determine the order in which the machines will be worked. Manufacturer: Cincinnati Gilbert Machine, 6 Series, 1999 The government is also exploring the option of having the existing two (2) Floor Type CNC Horizontal Boring Mills (Machining Centers) replaced and obtaining two (2) new machines as a direct replacement tailored to fit our current table and foundation. The proposed equipment shall be compatible with the existing foundation without any modification of the current foundation. The contractor shall be responsible as part of the turnkey installation for uninstalling the current CNC machining centers as described in the attached drawing. The contractor shall move the CNC machining centers to a designated area for disposition for processing. Who should attend: Vendors who are capable of the above specification to refurbish and upgrade large machining centers. Representatives should be technically savvy and have a firm understanding of the direction of both Industry and DoD policy. Pre-registration is required to attend the November 26, 2019 Pre-solicitation event. All responses to this Notice regardless of participation in the Pre-solicitation Site Visit, must be received by the Government no later than 10:00 AM CST on November 26, 2019.
