- Description
- The USAID/Dominican Republic Local Works Program is designed to advance locally-owned development and enhance the Agency�s ability to empower local actors to take the lead in addressing the development challenges (https://www.usaid.gov/localworks). It aims to improve livelihoods along the Dominican-Haitian border through local engagement, cooperation, and building on community assets. As the Local Works program is working to design its activities, this Request for Information (RFI) seeks to identify local entities currently working or interested in working to serve communities in the Border Region.� For the purpose of the Local Works program, �Local Entity� refers to a local entity, including but not limited to non-governmental organizations, universities, cooperatives and private sector organizations that: �(1) Are legally organized under the laws of the Dominican Republic, (2) Have identified their principal place of business or operation the Dominican Republic, (3) Is managed by a governing body comprised of a majority of citizens or lawful permanent residents of the Dominican Republic. OBJECTIVE: This Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information (RFI) seeks to identify local entities currently working or interested in working to serve communities in the Border Region
