Description
Hematology Stainer/Cytocentrifuge Tomah VA Medical Center, 500 East Veterans Street, Tomah, WI 54660 Background and Objective: Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Services of the Tomah VA Medical Center seeks to procure one (1) hematology stainer/cytocentrifuge system to replace our existing hematology stainer and cytocentrifuge. The staining programmability will be utilized in the hematology section of P&LMS for staining blood smears. The cytocentrifugation capabilities may be utilized in the hematology and microbiology section of P&LMS for preparing body fluid smears. The Wescor Aerospray Stainer/Cytocentrifuge Hematology Pro Series 2 Slides Model 7152 meets the needs of the government. Requirements: The government is in search of a stainer/cytocentrifuge system that is equivalent to the following requirements and specifications: The stainer/cytocentrifuge must be one piece of equipment. The system must be able to stain slides with a Wright-Giemsa stain. The stainer/cytocentrifuge must be programmable to adjust to the intensity of staining desired by our laboratory technologists and pathologists. The system should have automated reagent level monitoring. The stainer/cytocentrifuge should have an interchangeable rotor to accommodate both staining and cytocentrifugation chambers. The system should stain from atomizing spray nozzles onto the slides to avoid cross contamination. The stainer rotor should hold up to 12 slides per run and the cytocentrifuge should hold up to 8 specimen chambers per run. The system should have a rotor speed of 100 to 2000 rpm that can be programmed by the user. The exterior dimensions of the system should not exceed 22 wide x 10 high X 21 deep. The vendor should offer at least a 1 year warranty on parts and a 1 year warranty on labor and have a service agreement available. The vendor should provide 1 operator/instruction manuals along with the equipment. Selection Criteria: The Vendor shall provide one (1) hematology stainer/cytocentrifuge system equivalent to the requirements above and can conform to the delivery schedule described below. Delivery: The Vendor shall deliver one (1) hematology stainer/cytocentrifuge system to the Tomah VA Health Care Center located at 500 East Veterans Street, Tomah, WI 54660. Delivery shall be made immediately from the date of award.
