- Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information (RFI) European Washers, Dryers, and Refrigerators/Freezers for United States (US) Air Force and Army in Europe Introduction The US Air Force and Army in Europe have a recurring requirement to purchase appliances for personnel living and working in Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom.� The agencies spend $5M - $7M dollars per year on appliances such as washing machines, dryers, refrigerator/freezers and dishwashers. We are seeking information from industry to help standardize appliances and consolidate purchases resulting in cost savings and reduced purchase cycle time. Disclaimer This RFI is issued for the purpose of market research only. This is not a Request For Quote (RFQ). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. Purpose This RFI is released to get feedback from the commercial appliances industry. The draft requirements listing with make and model numbers for washing machines, dryers, refrigerator/freezers and dishwashers are attached.� These requirements are for commercially available European-type appliances for use in households on the European economy and in some military housing.� Given these requirements, please review the questions below and provide any feedback as applicable.� Your feedback is greatly appreciated! Questions for Industry: Question: ���� The US Government has a need for European Appliances in Germany, U.K. and Italy? Which countries can you deliver to? Question: ���� Can you deliver all specified models within the country listed in Atch 1 to the RFI? Question: ���� Can you provide price discounts based on the quantity ordered per model? If yes, what discounts do you offer? Question: ���� How long do you need to prepare your quote? Is there a specific timeframe in which the solicitation should/should not be released? Question: ���� Please provide proof that you can deliver the specified brands and models (e.g. price list, catalogue) and please provide data sheets, if available. Question: ���� How fast are spare parts available for the specified models? Question: ���� Are you able to deliver the estimated quantities defined in Atch 1 to the RFI? If yes, what is your estimated timeframe for delivery? Question: ���� Due to advances in technology the needed models will be changed on an annual basis during the yearly BPA review. Will you be able to provide the next follow-on model, if applicable? Question: ���� Are you interested in providing a quote? Question: ���� Do you have any feedback for the U.S. Government regarding the solicitation and the enclosed spreadsheet, entitled Condensed Summary and Price Sheet? � Submission Instructions Please provide responses to the above questions and fill in the purple cells of the Condensed Summary and Price Sheet for the countries you can deliver to. Responses to this RFI should be submitted by close of business 17 Jan 2020, 1630 hrs.
