Description
This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotes will not be requested. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (CC) intends to award a Firm-Fixed price purchase order to Olympus America Inc, Central Valley, PA 18034, on a sole source basis to provide service maintenance for the Olympus Digital Slide Scanner VS120-100. Services shall include annual preventative visits, on-site repair, parts, labor, and travel. The instrument is used for clinical analyses of patient samples in the clinical chemistry section of the Department of Lab Medicine. Olympus America Inc is the only known provider with access to performance verified parts, spare parts, software, technical support, upgrades, and engineering resources to maintain the original operating specifications. Only Olympus America Inc's parts will fit the instruments and allow it to operate appropriately. Period of Performance shall be for a base year of twelve (12) months from date of award with four (4) twelve-month option periods. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of the FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811219, with a large small business standard size of $20.5 million. Interested concerns capable of providing the same products or services as described in this notice may submit a capability statement outlining their capabilities. No solicitation is available. Information received will be evaluated to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability Statements must be received within the time outlined in this synopsis to be considered by the Government. A determination to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Each response should include the following Business Information: a. DUNS number and tax identification number. b. Company Name, address, POC, Phone, and Email address c. Current GSA Schedules or NAICS codes appropriate to this award. d.
