Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst has a requirement to modify its current inventory of Fortinet FG-501E to the Fortinet FG-501E-USG.� There is a Common Network Solutions (CNS) effort that aims to qualify common Network Rack configurations for utilization across the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Program portfolio. The firewall within the CNS baseline requires modification to P/N FG-501E-USG to allow for offline updating of antivirus definitions and firewall signatures. �Fortinet, the manufacturer of the FG-501 model firewall, has authorized Federal Defense Solutions, Inc. (FDS) to offer a one-time trade in of FG-501E model for the FG-501E-USG model.� Future Acquisitions of the FG-501E-USG model would be competed among authorized Fortinet distributors if necessary. This is the only notice that will be posted on beta.sam.gov prior to contract award.� Federal Defense Solutions, Inc. will receive a Request for Proposal from the Government on a Sole Source basis.� This acquisition is being pursued on a Part Number Basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, ""Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.""� The Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the publication of the applicable synopsis. �A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.
