- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors to determine what small business set-aside, if any, the requirement shall be competed under. Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, PWD Great Lakes is seeking an eligible small business with the expertise in replacing the existing 34.5kV feeder with a new looped 12.47kV feeder and refeed buildings 322, 325, 328, 329, 510 and 520. All the buildings located on the main side of Naval Station Great Lakes, IL. The work includes furnishing all labor, transportation, supervision, material, equipment, and performing all operations in connection with the design and construction for the replacement of the 34.5kV North Branch underground electrical distribution system feeding buildings listed above with a new 12.47kV underground electrical distribution system. Perform a building load analysis, equipment review and provide new appropriately sized pad-mounted transformers in all buildings (Buildings 329 and 520 have two transformers each). Retain and reuse the existing kilowatt hour demand AMI meters and associated equipment, if possible. For complete details, please reference attached draft statement of work. The work also includes furnishing all labor, transportation, supervision, material, equipment, and performing all operations in connection with the disposal of electrical distribution equipment currently stored at/near building 11. Contractor shall optimize equipment value to the government through resale, refurbishment and recycling. Contractor shall include the cost of all environmental sampling that may be required for the removal, transportation, recycling or disposal of electrical equipment, including oil-filled transformers and gas filled switches. SMALL BUSINESS entities are encouraged to respond to this source sought. The estimated cost for this project is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000.
