- NOTICE INFORMAITON: Agency/Office: Pacific Air Forces Location: 374 CONS - Yokota Title:� FY20 Planning Construction Projects, U.S. Army Installations within Honshu, Japan Description(s): This is a Sources Sought Notice for a Market Research purpose only to determine the availability and adequacy of potential and eligible business sources for multiple construction projects planned to solicit offers after the date of this notice until 30 Sep 2020 (Fiscal Year 2020).� No award will be made directly from this Sources Sought.� The number of solicitations with total FY20 funding amount is neither defined nor announced at this point. � The work to be performed includes: Work requirement for those planning projects will be defined in the respective solicitations.� The requirements may consist of multiple disciplines in general construction categories.� The scope of work may include, but is not limited to, building renovations, building demolition, equipment repair/replacement, piping repair/replacement, pipe lagging, electrical work, road pavement, fencing, roofing, painting, site work, removal and dispose of lead based paint and asbestos containing material, welding, plumbing, masonry, and floor/window coverings (carpets, blinds, solar films & vinyl tile, and etc.), design services for all aspects of general building construction including construction/modification/renovations of existing facilities at U.S. Army Installations within Honshu, Japan.�� Locations:� Work shall be located at the following U.S. Army Installations, Japan: Kanto Area � Camp Zama, Sagamihara, Family Housing Area, Sagami General Depot, Yokohama North Dock, Akasaka Press Center Hiroshima Area � Kure Pier 6, Kawakami Ammunition Depot (AD), Akizuki AD, Hiro AD, Aomori Prefecture - Shariki Communication Site Kyoto Prefecture - Kyogamisaki Communication Site SOLICITATION NOTICE:� Solicitation for respective project(s) will be posted at beta.SAM.gov https://fbohome.sam.gov/. The schedule for a site visit for each solicitation will be announced in the solicitation notice.� The proposed contract action is by a Defense agency and will be made and performed in the country of Japan, and only local sources will be solicited. Thus Pre-solicitation Notice may not be posted IAW FAR 5.202(a)(12). IMPORTANT:� Since the contemplating contracts are to be performed in Japan, the offerors must meet the following two requirements for OCONUS (Outside Continental United States): � (1) DFARS 252.225-7042, �Authorization to Perform� � The offeror has been duly authorized to operate and to do business in the country or countries in which the contract is to be performed,� (2) FAR 52.236-7 (modified IAW AFFARS 5336.507), �Permits and Responsibilities� � The Contractor shall, without additional expense to the Government, be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits, and for complying with any host government and political subdivisions laws, codes, and regulations applicable to the performance of the work.�� INTERESTED VENDOR LIST: Vendors who are eligible (see Paragraph IMPORTANT above) and interested in those projects, �please add your firm�s name into interested vendors using �INTERESTED VENDOR LIST� function on this beta.SAM.gov no later than�9�Jan 2020, 1400 hours (Japan Standard Time (JST)) .���� OTHERS:� The magnitude of each project varies and will be specified in the respective solicitation notices in accordance with (IAW) FAR 36.204.� 2.�� Each solicitation method will be Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ).� The information contained in this notice is subject to change.���
