- 1. Who is the incumbent? State Courier 2. Were there any significant issues with the routes that the VA would like corrected in the new contract award? No issues with current routes 3. Is the VA s intent for the awardee to start work January 1/1/2020? Intended award date is 2/1/20 4. What the previous award contract was for. Courier services for labs and surgical instruments delivery from the Baltimore VA and the surrounding CBOCS. 5. What was the cost of the final full option year of the previous contract? There was no option year contract for this service. However, there were orders for 2019 totaling $217,440.00 6. How many drivers/vehicles are currently used to service the current contract? Number of driver/vehicle is determined by the contractor to fulfill the requirements. 7. What are the vehicle sizes required? SUV 8. Will dry ice be needed for specimen transport? Is it the responsibility of the contractor to provide dry ice? Dry ice is not needed all specimen transport is prepackaged by VA staff with reusable wet ice packs 9. Can you confirm if there will be any STAT runs required for this contract, and what is the estimated frequency and mile range for the runs? There are no STAT runs associated with this contract. 10. Regarding specific personnel and vehicles to perform and their documentation: It is common practice for small businesses that the drivers, cars and other equipment used for a contract are not sourced until after an award has been made, for cost effectiveness and to reduce loss. Will you be accepting this documentation after the award? You can submit the information after award 11. Will this contract be SCA enforced? After reviewing the solicitation on FBO, it contains language and dollar values regarding the Service Contract Act. Can you verify that the minimum required wage will be $14.58, $15.24, $14.29, and H&W of $4.22? I can t identify the category for the cost you are providing. However, wages need to be paid according to the category in the SCA. For example. Category driver, courier, ect 12. What is the current contract number? 36C24520F0024
