Description
The US Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, has a requirement for a qualified firm to provide design/build services for the exterior envelope repairs and HVAC Upgrades for Building 1 at the Cincinnati Job Corps Center located in Cincinnati, Ohio.� This is a sources sought notice.� In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 10.002(b) (2) (i) this notice is issued for the purpose of market research.� Market research is being conducted to determine if there are potential small businesses with the capacity and experience to perform the required work.� This Notice is not to be misconstrued as an Invitation for Bid.� The full extent of the work will be described in the solicitation, which will follow at a later date.� However, a summary of the services to be performed is provided as follows.� This is a design/build project, which requires repairs of the exterior envelope, HVAC upgrades, gutter repairs or replacement, 3rd floor window demolition and replacement, and the installation of new AC system to serve the 3rd floor. �This work also includes the design and installation of a new energy efficient Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system. �The estimated price range for construction is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.� Firms interested in this requirement are requested to submit a statement of qualifications.� Your statement of qualifications shall demonstrate the capacity of your firm to perform the services described above, and should include the following information Projects performed that are similar in scope and value to the work required under this project.� Include two or more projects where your firm has provided design-build services on envelope rehabilitation projects including window replacement and gutter repairs, with a $1M to $5M constructed value performed within the last five years. Three or more project examples where design/build services were performed by your firm that involved historic building fa�ade renovation projects performed within the last five years. Projects performed within the last five years that demonstrate your teams experience with Variable Refrigerant Flow system design-build projects. Include with your submission at least one project example that demonstrates your firm�s experience in providing hazardous materials remediation.�� � Your project examples shall include the location of the project, the project owner, a brief description of the services performed.� Your synopsis should also include the date of contract award, the original and final date of contract completion. Using the previous project examples indicate the original contract price and final contract value.� Your statement of qualifications will be evaluated based on the following criteria. Project Experience � projects completed that are similar in scope and value to this required work. Project Location� � 3.�� Project cost and Project schedule of completion Your submission should not exceed 10 pages.� Your response to this Notice, is due no later than Thursday, January 9, 2020 by 2:00 PM EST, and submitted via email to: Eileen Garnett, Contract Specialist, US Department of Labor/ETA/OCM, Division of Job Corps Procurement garnett.eileen@dol.gov. Women-Owned, HUBZone, small disabled veterans, small disadvantaged businesses, and 8(a) businesses are encouraged to submit.� The Small Business Size Standard is $36.5 million.� Acknowledgment of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified regarding the results of the Government�s evaluation of the information received.� The determination to proceed with the acquisition is within the discretion of the Government.� Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.� Please be reminded that a prospective Offeror interested in obtaining a contract award with the Government must be registered in the Federal Government's System for Award Management (SAM) database.� Additional information regarding contractor registration can be obtained through the following website, www.sam.gov.
