Description

This is NOT a request for proposal or invitation for bid. Naval Facilities Command Engineering (NAVFAC), Public Works Department (PWD) Newport, located at Newport, Rhode Island, announces a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) construction contract for Solicitation Number N4008520B3307, Rapid Innovation Center (NUWC) Building 1258. This project shall be bid to include all labor, tools, qualified supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, equipment, and permits necessary to complete the General Requirements and Statement of Work. The Government will issue the solicitation as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. Contract award will be based on Far Part 14 � Sealed Bidding. The project consists of a Base Bid. Award shall be made on the total Base Bid price�to the responsive and responsible bidder with the lowest price acceptable to the Government. The IFB will be issued on or about�30 January 2020. The offeror is responsible to monitor and download any amendments for the solicitation from the Contract Opportunities (https://beta.sam.gov) website The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) has approved the renovation of rooms 314 and 315 in Building 1258 to provide a conference room and a collaboration area where employees can team up to work on projects. This project will focus on re-configuration of the existing space, improving lighting, improving HVAC, and providing power throughout the area The work includes the renovation of 900 square feet of existing office space to construct a restricted access conference room and innovation center. Contractor shall verify existing site conditions and provide hazardous materials (HAZMAT) survey, to include only building materials designated for disturbance or removal. Hazardous materials are not expected to be encountered on this project. SBA Size Standard: $39.5 Million Construction Magnitude: Between $250,000 and $500,000 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code: 236220 -�Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Product Service Code (PSC): Z2PZ � Repair Or Alteration Of Government-owned Government-operated� R&D Facilities The period of performance for this project is 180 days from contract award date. All work must be scheduled to be complete within this timeframe. An organized site visit will be scheduled and specific date and time will be made available at time of solicitation issuance. Only one site visit will be scheduled and interested offerors are highly encouraged to attend. Bonds will be required. No telephone accepted Potential bidders must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date.
