- Description
- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold and Only One reasonable available. � The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter into a fixed-price contract with Canadian Science Publishing, Ottawa, ON, Canada for the following Canadian Science Publishing journals and e-Books plus an additional 21 titles to include research material regarding drones, mechanical engineering, soil science, plant science and microbiology. CSP journals: Applied Physiology, Nutriution, and Metabolism; Biochemistry and Cell Biology; Botany; Canadian Journal of Animal Science; Canadian Geotechnical Journal; Canadian Journal of Chemistry; Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering; Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences; Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences; Canadian Journal of Forest Research; Canadian Journal of Microbiology; Canadian Journal of Physics; Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology; Canadian Journal of Plant Science; Canadian Journal of Soil Science; Canadian Journal of Zoology; Environmental Reviews; Genome; Geomatica; Journal of Unmanned Vehicle Systems; Transactions of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineers, provide the staff for technical support, ensuring access to their database The NAICS code for this procurement is 519130 with a size standard not to exceed 1000E. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any small-business firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer in the form of a capability statement. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed must be furnished to the point of contact listed below by January 17th at 02:00 P.M. CT. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
