THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. A SYNOPIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION MAY BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDERS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. Please only respond to this sources sought notice if you are interested in submitting a bid and capable of performing the work required to complete the project. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates the need for a firm-fixed-price contract for a project entitled Replace Fuel Tanks at the Federal Correctional Institution Pekin, IL. The following brief synopsis does not include all of the work required to complete the project. The contractor is required to provide all materials, tools and labor to install a new above ground fuel storage and dispensing system consisting of: one 8000 US gallons red-dye diesel tank for generator back-up one 6,000-gallon E-85 gasoline tank, one 3000 US gallons diesel tank, and one 3000 US gallons storage tank for regular 87 octane gasoline. Each tank shall be delivered as a complete UL-listed assembly with two factory supplied, welded-on saddles. Tanks shall be supplied with emergency venting for the primary and the secondary containment tanks.� Tanks shall also be provided with a system panel, spill containment fill boxes, tank fill alarms, ans a leak detection systems for tanks and piping. The contractor shall also remove the existing 20,000 gallon gasoline, 15,000 gallon on-road diesel and 6,000 gallon red-dye diesel underground storage tanks. The performance period for the project will be 180 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed.� Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $500,000 and $1,000,000.� (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range.� It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238990 with a corresponding small business size standard of $16.5 million. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. The BOP is seeking small business contractors for this project. Your business size metrics information entered in you SAM registration must be less than or equal to the small business size standard specified above. �Interested small business contractors are requested to respond to this notice by adding their names to the Interested Vendors List for this posting in FedBizOpps.gov (must be logged-in to your account). The synopsis of proposed contract action will include further instruction for responding to this opportunity.
