Page 2 of 2 SYNOPSIS: The Greater Los Angeles VAMC Healthcare System, 11301 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90073 has a requirement to provide services that includes all tools, labor, materials, and supervision necessary for the replacement/renovation of the PET/CT scan equipment in Room B0067 located in the basement of Building B500 as well as the renovation of Rooms B0067 (PET/CT Room), B0074 Staff Restroom, B0075, B0076 Control Room and B0068 Breakroom. Contractor will be required to provide all HVAC, plumbing and electrical upgrades. All work will take place in the basement of Building 500 of the Greater Los Angeles VA Medical Center. Contractor shall coordinate and work closely with the PET CT equipment manufacturer, Siemens and their subcontractor(s) during all phases of the project and as required by the contract drawings and specifications.� Contractor shall also closely coordinate all work with VA COR and the VA Medical staff.� All utility shut downs and related work will have to be performed outside of normal hospital working hours.� Contractor shall install a Non-Combustible Construction Barriers during construction to contain construction dust and debris and comply with VA Infection Control measures.� Construction work will take place in the pipe space below the basement and in the Interstitial space above the ceiling. The specifications and drawings will be uploaded as part of the solicitation. A date and time for a site visit will be stated in the solicitation. Award will be made utilizing the sealed bidding source selection process in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 14. Proposal submission instructions will be included later in the solicitation package. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and the small business size standard is $36.5 million This is 100% set aside for Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Period of Performance for this work is 195 calendar days after issuance of the notice to proceed. All interested bidders must be registered in System for Award Management (http://www.sam.gov) and VetBiz (http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov) under the applicable NAICS code, as well as VETS 4212 (http://www.dol.gov/vets/vets4212.html). The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date.
