Page 3 of 3 STATEMENT OF NEED FOR RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT This is a new Brand Name requirement for two Bayer Medrad Stellant Computed Tomography (CT) injection systems with Certegra workstation. The required injection system is a scalable informatics ready solution offering Radiation Dose Management and Contrast Dose Management options (CDM). This system is complete with injector interfacing between the scanner, Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS), Radiological Information System (RIS) and Speech Recognition Systems. The Stellant injection system s workflow-centralized interface gives technologists point-of-care tools to efficiently manage injection protocols for enhanced visualization in complex CT angiography and cardiac CT studies. The Stellant Injection System delivers additional levels of efficiency and patient-centered care in CT imaging. An integral part of Bayer in Radiology s CT imaging solution, the scalable informatics-ready solution offers contrast dose management, and radiation dose management options. The injectors interface with the CT operating systems. The quote should include the trade-in of two Stellant duel injectors currently being utilized serial numbers 40891 and 33133. Training and Installation: The injector Installation and Bayer injector systems training to be coordinated with Erie VAMC Radiology Supervisor and provided within 30 workdays after a successful award. Security and Privacy Controls: The contractor will be on station to provide service and therefore required to take the generalized privacy training: Privacy Training for Personnel Without Access to VA Computer Systems or Direct Access to or the Use of VA Sensitive Information The contractor can self-enroll in TMS, take training course # VA20939, and provide a copy of the completed training certificate to the government point of contact (POC) or, the contractor can read the text version and provide a copy of the completed training certificate to the POC.
