Description
The Army Contracting Command -Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Belvoir Division, on behalf of the Army Futures Command, Combat Capabilities Development Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center (AFC CCDC C5ISR), Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD), intends to award a Sole Source modification against Task Order (TO) W909MY-12-D-0007-0049 with Fibertek Technologies, Inc. to extend the current TO Period of Performance to 5 August 2020 allowing Fibertek to ensure delivery of capabilities that address the operational and technical sustainment of current and proposed programs, both ground and airborne systems, and provide capabilities and technologies focused on detecting threats by leveraging technology that can be rapidly developed, demonstrated and fielded. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate the extension on a sole source basis with Fibertek, under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, citing substantial duplication of cost to the Government that would not be expected to be recovered through competition. This notice of intent is published in accordance with FAR 5.201 and is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement. The Government will consider all capability information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed TO, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received within 7 days will be considered by the Government. Responses shall be no longer than ten (10) pages and shall be in a Microsoft Word compatible format. Responses shall be submitted via email to michael.a.sampson18.civ@mail.mil within 7 calendar days of the date of this notice. All requests for information must be made in writing or e-mail to MIchael Sampson, Contract Specialist, at michael.a.sampson18.civ@mail.mil or Sabin Joseph, Contracting Officer, at sabin.a.joseph.civ@mail.mil. No telephonic inquiries or requests will be honored.
