Description

Summary of Action:� The Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID) Contract Management Division, on behalf of Radiological and Environmental Sciences Laboratory (RESL) intends to award a Single-Award Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to Landauer, Inc. of Glenwood, Illinois on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1) for the purchase and maintenance of specialized laboratory equipment manufactured by Landauer. Landauer is the sole manufacturer of OSL Passive Dosimetry systems. The Department of Energy Radiological and Environmental Sciences Laboratory (RESL) has determined that only Landauer, Inc. OSL passive dosimetry system that has a dose range of a few millirRem to several Rad and the OSL dosimeters that have the unique capability to be read multiple times without degrading the dose meets RESL�s current requirements.� RESL anticipates issuing a 5-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to support their dosimetry program as well as to provide for any future Landauer brand equipment purchases or maintenance needs.
