- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY � This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes � it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future.� Solicitations are not available at this time.� Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response.� This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever.� All information submitted (as a white paper) in response to this announcement is voluntary, the United States Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the United States Government.� Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued.� If a solicitation is released, it will by synopsized on Beta.Sam at https://beta.sam.gov.� It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. SYNOPSIS: The Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Data Analysis Center (DAC) in conjunction with the Joint Requirements Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JRO-CBRND) is seeking information on products, technologies, and/or approaches that could be utilized in the development of new capabilities that support Proactive Contamination Protection (PCP). PCP includes capabilities that could be utilized prior to a chemical, biological, and radiological (CBR) attack that shield, repel, absorb, strip, trap, or otherwise neutralize or facilitate removal of contaminants from organizational equipment and supplies while reducing hazards to personnel.� Capabilities submitted may include but are not limited to covers and coatings (either temporary or permanent).� Organizational equipment and supplies may include but are not limited to vehicles, weapons platforms, ships, watercraft, aircraft, electronics (both handheld and vehicle-mounted), critical infrastructure, and limited terrain.� These capabilities will enhance responsiveness and mobility by decreasing personnel protection and decontamination requirements. The desired outcome when using PCP capabilities is a more responsive force capable of quickly resuming pre-exposure operational tempo. It is important to note that the PCP AoA is closely integrated with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency�s Chemical Biological Operational Analysis (CBOA).� Responses that are received for the PCP AoA will be shared with those involved with CBOA and vice versa.� The next CBOA is planned for July 27-31, 2020 at Fort Carson, Colorado. Information on products, technologies, and/or approaches received will support the PCP AoA.� The products, technologies, and/or approaches may be commercially available or in research and development.� Please indicate whether the product, technology, or approach is mature, under development, or in basic research.� INFORMATION SOUGHT: If applicable and/or available, please provide the following information on each of the products, technologies, and/or approaches: CBR Test Results Consumables Ease of Use Flame Resistance Footprint Material Safety Data Sheet(s) Scalability Shelf Life Size Training Required Unit and Consumable Cost Useful Life Weight All interested firms and manufacturers, regardless of size, are encouraged to respond to this RFI.� The response should be no longer than 10 pages or not exceed 3 MB in size.� Responders should provide the following:� Point of Contact Name, Company Name, Address, Email, Phone, DUNS number, NAICS Code, and whether or not vendor is a small business (include number of employees).
