- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Vicksburg District intends to award a sole source�task�order to Big River Shipbuilders, Inc.�(CAGE Code: 06BJ4)�for the dry docking and various repairs of Barge LD 707.� The authority permitting other than full and�open competition for�this requirement is�10 U.S.C.�2304(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A copy of the Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition (J&A)�is attached.�� Please refer to the J&A for�further details.�This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) and no solicitation is available for this procurement. Nevertheless, any firm or individual that believes it is capable of meeting the Vicksburg District�s requirements described herein may submit a capabilities statement; which, if received by 12:00 PM CST on�2�March 2020, will be considered. �Responses to this posting must be submitted via e-mail, no phone calls will be accepted.� A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government.� Any questions or comments should be directed to Brent Hester, contract specialist, via email at Richard.B.Hester@usace.army.mil.
