- Description
- Vendor Questions/Concerns for: CAVHCS Ambulance Services, 2237 #: 619-20-3-805-0004, RFQ: 36C24720R0040 1) We noticed that on page 88 under part c, that there is mention of metering devices and requests for maintenance records. Ambulances don t have metering devices. I assume we will continue to utilize Bing maps as referenced in the RFP. For the maintenance records do you want documentation on how they are kept or do you want actual maintenance records, which could be volumes of information? The vendor should have some type of equipment or method of verification that can be provided to the VA for any mileage charged to the contract. This may be done by mechanical means of a metering device mounted in the vehicle or by method of the logging of the beginning and ending vehicle mileage of each transport. Bing Maps will continue to the VA s method of choice to verify that mileage is consistent with request for payment. For maintenance records, the vendor must specify how those records are kept. The VA may request specific maintenance records from the vendor as deemed necessary. 2) There are several conflicting areas regarding the radius or mileage in the RFP. On page 9 section 2.3. it gives a radius of 150 miles, but on page 10 under 2.5 Performance Schedule it gives a 50-mile pickup for mileage. Please confirm whether you intend to have a 150 mile radius or a 50 mile radius, which has been the historical, and can drastically change pricing. The radius being sought is 150 miles. The chart was created from the original obligation document created in August of 2019 before final radius determination was solidified and should be corrected. 3) Section 2.3 on page 9 also references Attachments 1-4, and it appears they are missing from the RFP. The attachments referenced on Section 2.3 on page 9 were included in error. There are no Attachments 1-4 for this solicitation
