- This is a pre-solicitation announcement for the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, located in Battle Creek, MI. A Request for Quote will be issued on https://beta.sam.gov/ website on Contract Opportunities website about January 6, 2020 for Construction Project No. 515-19-504 entitled ""Replace Ceiling Lifts"" at the Battle Creek Medical Center, 5500 Armstrong Road, Battle Creek, MI 49037. This announcement is a 100% total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The VA is seeking a qualified Contractor to furnish all tools, equipment, material, permits, labor, and supervision necessary to accomplish, the work as provided in the contract documents, plans, and specifications, a summary of which is provided below: This project is located at the Battle Creek Medical Center, 5500 Armstrong Road, Battle Creek, Michigan. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, supervision, As-Built Documentation, and all other related information. This project will replace 99 existing ceiling lifts, in building 82-1, 84-1 and 84-2. New units shall support a minimum of 600 pounds, to be equipped with fast motion, continuous charge, room covering H traverse rail systems, (2) patient slings per system, tool free emergency lowering, including 15 demountable scales and are to be delivered, installed and tested. In addition, the contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of the old lifts and tracking, and certified in-service training for staff, Period of Performance: 180 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 339113 and size standard 750 Employees applies. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, disclosure of the magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract within 180 days from bid receipt date. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. No other information regarding scope, dates, etc. is available until issuance of the solicitation via CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES. As authorized by FAR 5.102, solicitation dissemination is limited to electronic medium, and the VA will provide no hard copies. The solicitation, consisting of various bid documents, specifications, forms, and drawings will be available for download at no charge only from the CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES website on or about December 20, 2019, with a due date to be specified in the solicitation. Further details of all dates and events, including site visit and bid opening date, will be available in the solicitation. CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES is the only website where official bid documents will be made available. All interested bidders (prime contractors & subcontractors) should register at CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement.
