Title: Soo Waterway Safety Signs Classification Code: PSC Z1KF NAICS Code: 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction Is this a Recovery and Reinvestment Act Action?: No Primary Point of Contact: Dean Liguori Contract Specialist Dean.Liguori@usace.army.mil Phone: 313-226-6358 Secondary Point of Contact: Will Smith Contracting Officer Lloyd.W.Smith@usace.army.mil Phone: 313-226-2797 Description: This project will include the construction of new waterway safety signs to replace existing signs for the two hydropower plants and a structure known as the Compensating Works which is the water control system for this dam. Work requires six (6) new signs of varying sizes to be installed, four (4) upstream and two (2) downstream of the hydroelectric power plant.� All signs will consist of a foundation, a single column, and a sign support frame. Upstream signs will be constructed in the water by barge and socketed into the channel bottom. Downstream, both signs will be placed on land at either end of the restricted zone. Access and work downstream will be by barge and work can be done by either land or barge. This Sources Sought announcement is for planning and market research purposes only and is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP), or Invitation for Bid (IFB). No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought Notice. The Government will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any cost associated with the submission of responses or comments. Qualified companies are encouraged to respond. The contractor will have an estimated 1 year to complete this requirement. The contract is expected to be awarded around 1 September 2020. The estimated cost of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, which has a small business size standard of $39.5 million. The responses received to this notice shall be in summary format and shall not exceed five (5) pages, including the Sources Sought Information Form.. In order for the Government to determine the extent of industry interest and experience in the project, interested contractors shall complete the information at the bottom of this sources sought.
