Description: The intent of this solicitatin and any resulting contract is to conduct treatment of midstory American beech, striped maple and black birch on 144 acres within the Allegheny National Forest.� Treatments will be conducted using protocols established by the U.S. Forest Service.� The treatment consists of felling American beech, black birch and striped maple stems that are in the 4-10 inch DBH (diameter at breast height = 4.5 feet up from the ground) range and subsequently applying herbicide to the stumps using contractor furnished equipment. �
