- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to renew the annual Maintenance and Support agreement for the Bruel & Kjaer Pulse system, from 4/1/2020 through 3/31/2021. The Hearing Loss Prevention Team conducts hearing loss prevention research, develops noise controls for mining equipment, and accesses mines and quarry�s for the evaluation of mine Hearing Conservation Programs. During this process, experimental data is needed to assess the acoustic and vibration characteristics of mining equipment and mining environments. This data is collected using a Bruel & Kjaer PULSE data acquisition system. This system is also equipped with a real time data processing module that helps check the validity of the acquired data. Bruel & Kjaer PULSE data acquisition system is exclusive licensing agrement/proprietary data. (See Attachement for Item List) This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 811219- Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, Size Standard $22,000,000.00. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
