- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), William J. Hughes Technical Center intends to extend the current Florida Institute of Technology�contract DTFACT-17-C-00001, entitled, ""Develop a Method of Compliant to Support Certification of Advanced Flight Controls in General Aviation and Hybrid Aircrat�Vehicles""�through July 31, 2021.� In accordance with FAA Acquisition System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA�s decision to contract with the incumbent contractor Florida Institute of Technology, on a single source basis. The contract extension is in the Government�s best interest, as this contract was awarded off of the Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) solicitation number DTFACT-16-R-00054 and is continuing work on the�Trajectory Energy�Management System.� This announcement is for informational purposes, only and is not a Solicitation or Request for Proposal.
