Description

The Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate a firm fixed price purchase order, on a sole source basis, with Euromonitor International Inc. The procurement is for a 1-year pilot, to allow the Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program (MEP) National Network to use Euromonitor International online database Passport. NIST MEP will purchase licenses for 22 local MEP Centers to access Euromonitor International's online database Passport which will strengthen the MEP Centers in their client services through broad market statistics and insights.� Currently, NIST MEP tools and services do not incorporate the features within Euromonitor International Passport database. With access to Euromonitor Passport resources, MEP Centers will be able to provide market intelligence on the assets available to understand potential market impact and opportunity for U.S. small and medium sized manufacturers. ��This contract is under other than full and open competition by the authority of FAR subpart 13.1 using the authority in FAR 13.106-1(b) Not Exceeding Simplified Acquisition Threshold. Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and be completed in accordance with the Contractor�s commercial schedule. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 511210, and the size standard is $41.5 Million. No solicitation package will be issued.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.� The Government will consider responses received by 12:00 p.m. on March 25, 2020.� Inquiries will only be accepted via email to robert.singman@nist.gov. No telephone requests will be honored. �� A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.�
