Description
DEFERRED: With an abundance of caution, the Guam Ship Repair Summit has been deferred until later in the summer when the current health concerns subside. Guam Ship Repair Summit IV is scheduled for 7-9 April 2020. Military Sealift Command will host the Guam Ship Repair Conference and Scheduling Meeting from 7-9 April 2020.� The venue will be the MSC Office Building 3115, Naval Base Guam.� The intent is to hold a Government session on 7 April, an Industry session the morning of 8 April, a follow-up Government session afternoon of the 8th, and reserve the morning of 9 April for follow on discussion identified during the summit. Agenda: 7 April Government Session (0800-1500) - Scheduling conference/discussion. - Review workload plan. - Follow-on discussion about ship repair work planning during monsoon season. - Base facility discussion. - GSR performance reports. 8 April Industry Day (0800-1200) - Open to all interested industry partners - Workload outlook. - Discussion and updates on performing ship repair at Naval Base Guam wharves. - Discussion on current Guam GSR contract, updates on future GSR and prime ship repair contract plans. - Discussion about weather concerns/impacts to ship repair. - Discussion about Guam labor resources. - Q&A session. 8 April Government Follow-Up (1300 - 1500) 9 April Follow-Ups (0800 - 1200) Interested attendees, both Government and Industry, are encouraged to contact CDR Ted Huebner to RSVP at William.huebner@fe.navy.mil and Neil Lichtenstein for agenda issues or questions at neil.lichtenstein@navy.mil no later than 27 March 2020.�� MSC point of contact for access to Naval Base Guam is Noma Pillman at norma.pillman@fe.navy.mil.
