- Description
- The DFC requires a Personal Services Contractor (PSC) to serve�as a Social Assessment Program Expert in the identification and mitigation of social and environmental impacts of potential DFC investments. The Senior Social Specialist identifies risks and opportunities to add value to investment project structures, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, and monitoring previously approved projects for social and environmental compliance.�� Work involves conducting social assessments for international projects, including providing advice and staff support on planning, developing, implementing and evaluating issues related to DFC environmental and social policy. �Work may be conducted in any country and any sector. Qualifications: Advanced�degree in�a field related to the interdisciplinary approach to social impact assessment; e.g., anthropology, sociology, geography 8�years of experience in�the assessment of social risks�within the last�15�years. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:�Knowledge of�database management applications, global positioning systems (GPS), and other technology tools used in the assessment and monitoring of social and environmental impact U.S. citizen Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance The position's GS-equivalent grade is GS 13, Step 5 -10.�� Qualified individuals must�read the attached Request for Quotes�thoroughly to become familiar with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) which details qualifications, responsibliities, and daily duties of the position.� Applicants must follow the instructions found in Clause 52.212-1 in the�in the attachment. Written narrative: of no more than five double spaced pages clearly describing their experience that is relevant to�the daily duties listed in the PWS and knowledge of each of the qualification requirements. Clearly demonstrate�how your prior experience is either relevant or directly related to the duties of this position as listed under MAJOR�DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (PWS C2) and QUALIFICATIONS (PWS C3). The responses should�describe specifically and accurately what experience, training, education and/or awards you have received that are�relevant to each factor. Cite specific examples where appropriate. Current resume listing positions relevant to the duties, experience, and qualifications in the PWS. College Transcripts (may be ""unofficial"" for application purposes).� Copies of any relevant certifications listed in the applicant's narrative or resume. No less than three, but no more than five, professional references.� Signed copy of the attached RFQ with quoted hourly rates for Senior Social Specialist services for all contract years numbered 0001, 1001, 2001, 3001, and 4001.
