***UPDATE*** Due to current�situations regarding COVID 19,�the in person event�has been�CANCELED.� We are tentatively planning to produce information for online distribution and will provide updates once this information is available. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience. INDUSTRY DAY: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Europe District will host one-day meeting in Kyiv, Ukraine with design and construction firms interested and capable of working in Ukraine. The USACE has several upcoming construction projects, and wishes to encourage the most qualified industry partners to build these projects. USACE seeks maximum participation by local vendors when the solicitations are announced and to publicize these opportunities as best possible. Furthermore, USACE wishes to communicate administrative requirements associated with doing business with the USACE, and afford ample time for local interested firms to prepare for these opportunities.� Date/time and location details for the event are provided below.� Contractors interested in�this project�are invited to pre-register and attend the industry day. LOCATION, DATE/TIME: The Industry Day event will take place on Thursday 02 April 2020 from 9:00 to 12:00 local time at the InterContinental Kyiv hotel (Velyka Zhytomyrska St, 2A, Kyiv, Ukraine, 01001). PRE-REGISTRATION�INSTRUCTIONS TO�ATTEND INDUSTRY DAY EVENT: Contractors are requested to pre-register their attendees no later than Monday 30 March 2020 at 15:00 Central European Time.� To Pre-Register, please complete and send the attached registration form in EXCEL format via email to Project Manager Joshua Mueller (joshua.d.mueller@usace.army.mil). TENTATIVE AGENDA: The tentative agenda for the Industry Day event is as follows: ���������� a. How to register to do contract work for the US Government. ����������� b. How to read and understand a USACE solicitation. ����������� c. How to do construction work for the USACE. ����������� d. Summary details of upcoming projects. ����������� e. Question and Answer session with members from the US Government project teams. UPCOMING USACE Projects in Ukraine: There are at least four design and construction projects that the USACE plans to solicit between May-July 2020 and award between August-December 2020. a. Divichky and Shyrokylan Simulations Training Centers:� These are two projects, each consisting of construction of a Training Operations Center (TOC).� One project is near Divichky (Kyiv Oblast) and the other is near Shyrokylanivka (Mykolaiv Oblast).� Each building will be approximately 1500 square meters in size and will be meant to accommodate 200-300 people. Each building will contain a large conference center for planning and discussion, multiple office spaces, and multiple virtual based training spaces.� USACE intends to solicit these projects in May 2020, and award in September 2020. b. Ochakiv MSOC Boat Storage Facility: This project consists of boat storage warehouse near Ochakiv (Mykolaiv Oblast). The warehouse will be a pre-engineered metal building up to 500 square meters in size.� USACE intends to solicit this projects in May 2020, and award in September 2020. c. Stare IIMTC Barracks Renovation: This project consists of construction of a barracks and training facility on the Stare International Interagency Multifunctional Training Center (IIMTC) near Stare (Kyiv Oblast). The barracks and training facility will be a two-story building, approximately 1,500 square meters in size.� The construction will consist of a �core and shell� approach, where the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU) will complete the site work, structural elements, and exterior envelope, and the US Government will construct the interior and building systems. USACE intends to solicit this project in July 2020, and award in December 2020. �USACE AND PRIVATE INDUSTRY: The U.S. government depends on strong private sector partners with innovative technical expertise and skilled trades to complete construction work worldwide. The ability of private industry to mobilize labor, materials, equipment and technology to deliver quality projects on time and within budget is critical.
