- The Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates soliciting quotes and subsequently awarding a contract for a project titled eyeglasses and optician services . Any acquisition that follows this pre-solicitation notice will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and other applicable regulations. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Set Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Location will be at VA Pacific Islands Health Care System, 459 Patterson Road, Honolulu, HI 96819. The government intends to award one firm fixed price indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, with a base year plus four one-year option periods NAICS code for this acquisition is 339115, with size standard of 1,000 employees. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about February 20, 2020 and will be posted on beta.SAM.gov. This date is subject to change. Hard copy documents will not be available all documents for quoting purposes will be posted at this website for download. Quotes will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of solicitation unless extended by amendment. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of bids. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this announcement.
