Description
In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Warren (ACC-WRN), Detroit Arsenal, MI 48397-5000 intends to issue a sole-source solicitation (W56HZV-19-R-0182) restricted to Alliant Techsystems Operations LLC (ATK), 4700 Nathan Ln N, Plymouth, MN, 55442-2512, for XM813 cannons and associated support. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement that shall be considered by the agency IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16) within forty-five days after the date of publication of this synopsis. The solicitation will be for a five-year plus one option year hybrid Firm Fixed Price (FFP)/Cost type requirements contract. The XM813 cannon and associated support acquired under this contract are to support the requirement for a Stryker 30mm Medium Caliber Weapon System (MCWS) Lethality ECP upgrade. This effort includes: (1) delivery of an estimated 269 new production configuration XM813 cannons; (2) spare components to support weapon qualification testing, development testing, and production build; (3) modifications to three existing Government Owned XM813 cannons incorporating the new production configuration upgrade; (4) logistics product development; and (5) Government test support. An award date of 31 May 2020 is estimated and anticipated for this action. All contractors must be registered in the DoDs System for Award Management at http://www.sam.gov. Information on getting registered may be obtained on the website. The solicitation will be issued on or about 3 February 2020 and will close on or around 4 March 2020. A U.S. Government Technical Data Package (TDP) is not available for this procurement action. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 AND 5.102; therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. An electronic copy may be downloaded on or after the issue date by assessing the following address via the internet: http://www.sam.gov.
