- Item Name:COMMON ETHERNET SWITCH WITH CONTAINER NSN: 7025-01-674-7196 Part Number: 57K7316 Min. Ordering Qty: 43 Max Ordering Qty: 750 End Item: M1A2 Abrams SEPV3 Tank Response Date: 4/6/2020 Requirements Description: 57K7316, COMMON ETHERNET SWITCH WITH CONTAINER includes: The primary component of 57K7316, COMMON ETHERNET SWITCH WITH CONTAINER is a Common Ethernet Line Replaceable Module (CEL) and provides Ethernet switch functionality on 12 1000BASE?T Ethernet ports. The CEL is a circuit card assembly (CCA), GDLS part number 12546260, and is also known as the XChange3014 3U VPX single board computer (SBC) in Extreme Engineering documents. The CEL is a critical item for the Abrams M1A2 SEPV3 tank Mission Control Unit (MCU), Hull Controller Unit (HCU), and Turret Controller Unit (TCU) under the Abrams Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) Program. The CEL shall meet all requirements specified in document SC-SA20516 Product Fabrication Specification (PFS) for the Common Ethernet Line Replaceable Module (CEL). Key performance requirements found in SC-SA20516 include: The CEL shall be fabricated in accordance with assembly drawing 12546260. Operational Input Power shall not exceed 30 watts of operational power usage. Steady state 12V (Vs1) input current shall not exceed 1.6 amperes. Steady state 3.3V (Vs2) input current shall not exceed 2.8 amperes. Steady state 5V (Vs3) input current shall not exceed 0.4 amperes. The CEL shall contain a minimum of twelve (12) gigabit Ethernet interfaces according to industry standard IEEE 802.3?2011. The CEL shall be capable of detecting shorts and opens on the GbE interface. The CEL will contain a management processor for controlling the Ethernet switch. The CEL shall incorporate a minimum of one temperature sensor located as close to the card edge as practical. The temperature sensor shall be accessible to the satellite controller. The CEL will be covered by built?in?test (BIT) diagnostics. The CEL weight shall not exceed 3.0 pounds (1.361 kg) Workmanship shall be in accordance with MIL?HDBK?454, Guideline 9, or best commercial practices. The secondary component of the kit is a rugged shipping/storage container for the CEL providing the module protection from natural and man-made environments when not installed in the M1A2 SEPV3 tank.
