Description

The US Army Futures Command, Combat Capabilities Command (AFC:CCDC), Natick Contracting Division, intends to award a firm, fixed-price contract under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), only one responsible source, to FEI Company, Hillsboro, OR, 97124, for preventative maintenance and repair of a ThermoFisher FEI Quattro S, Field Emission Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-ESEM). FEI Company is the only known source that is capable of providing this proprietary combination of hardware, software, and support services capable of maintaining the Government�s FE-ESEM system. This is not a request for quotes. No solicitation package is available. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance.
