- Page 2 of 2 The requirement will be sole sourced to Evergreen Medical Services, 824 Locust St., Hendersonville, NC 28792 under FAR 6.302-1. Evergreen (small business) is proposing to subcontract Walker Mechanical (small business) to replace outdated zone valves in front of both OR6 and OR7. I verified that all other OR rooms have updated shutoff valves. Following the install by Walker Mechanical, Evergreen will certify the newly installed valves and verify correct operation. All parts and services, with exceptions of materials for painting, are to be provided by Evergreen and Walker Mechanical. The contractors mentioned above are specialized contractors certified under ASSE 6010 Medical Gas Installer certifications per NFPA 99 standards required by the facility. Evergreen is the current facility medical gas certification vendor. For consistency in documentation and accountability, the station will have Evergreen perform the repairs. The NAICS code is 811219 and has a size standard of $20.5M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit to: Christina.smith7@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
