- The solicitation and any resultant contract will be a stewardship project in accordance with Section 323 of Public Law 108-7 (16 U.S.C. 2104 Note, as revised February 28, 2003 to reflect sec. 323 of J.J. Res 2 as enrolled), the Consolidated Appropriations Resolution, 2003, amending Public Law 105-277 sec 347. This project is being advertised for full and open competition. This acquisition has been tailored to fit the Governments need for trading goods for services. The Hugger Project is located on the High Sierra Ranger District of the Sierra National Forest within the Huntington Lake Recreation Area. The Project area is approximately 3,825 acres with treatments on 1,872 acres includes five mandatory contract items and four optional contract items. The stewardship contract includes the following components:� mechanical fuel reduction, snag and down wood management, removal of fuels, and/or other product removal. The project includes removal of approximately 57,615 tons of Sawtimber along with an unestimated amount of Cull Logs and Biomass product and road maintenance. Project Location - The Hugger IRSC Stewardship Contract Area is located in Township 8 south, Range 25 east, Sections 1, 2, 10-16, 21 and 22; and Township 8 south, Range 26 east, Sections 4-8, 16-21 of the Mount Diablo Base Meridian. The solicitation package will be uploaded approximately April 15th, 2020. The date of award is expected to be within 60 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and is subject to change with amendments to the solicitation. The contractors are encouraged to visit the site prior to the response date. A prebid meeting on site is scheduled for 04/23/2020, more information about the prebid meeting will be available in the solicitation. Please hold any technical questions until after review of the solicitation. The technical contact information will be listed in the solicitation. The purpose of this notice is to meet the FAR 5.201. It is the contractor�s responsibility to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for amendments.
