This is the final Q/A for this solicitation. No more questions and answers will be posted. Edward Bradford Contracting Officer VBA15L1-0212 CONTINUATION PAGE Q - Are there any bridge contracts in place that extended the current contract? A No Q b. The contractor must be Certified, Bonded and Insured according to National Association for Information Destruction (NAID). The contractor is responsible for maintaining liability insurance for the duration of the contract and for following all pertinent federal and state regulations with regards to the destruction of classified documentation. Can this be removed due to VA Directive 6371 pg. 1 b. Elimination for the requirement that an information destruction contractor be National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) certified and the establishment of minimum standards instead. A No Q - Is the material being in the same bin the way that it is currently being shred? The material does need to be separated for it to be recycled and not refused for contaminating the recycle mill. If willing to separate can a line item be added for media? A This is how material has been shred in the past at these locations. No, we will not separate the material and have had experience with several vendors that have the ability to shred the listed items to be destroyed, together. There will not be a separate line item added for media. Q - Is the pricing per bin given so that when additional unscheduled service arises the CO or COR is aware of what the charges may be? Can we place an additional line item to all for purge pricing? A Correct, this will be the price if additional unscheduled services arise. No, there will not be an additional line item added for this. Q - h. Contractor is responsible for moving all bins from the holding area to the contractor s on-site shredding vehicle through final destruction. Does this mean that the bins will be placed in this area before the truck comes? Is this a locked and secure room used for storage capable of storing 10-15 96s? A - Yes. Yes. Q - k. After shredding is complete, a billing invoice calculating the charge shall be prepared and left with the RMO/RMT. A COD can be given to the RMO/RMT once shredding is complete, but a billing invoice would be sent once a month for the services. Is that what is meant? A Correct, a COD will be given to the RMO/RMT at the time of destruction. A billing invoice will be emailed once per month to the emails assigned at time of award. Q - Can this quote be submitted electronically? If so, do you require the entire solicitation or just the first 13 pages? A See quote submission and preparation instructions on page 20 of 22 on the RFQ.
