Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAVAIR), Lakehurst intends to issue a purchase order for the inspection, repair and calibration of the End Item:� Aircraft FACT Tool P/N MB559B-02 / NSN 4920-01-599-9168 from the Fleet Readiness Center, Aircraft Support Equipment (FRC ASE), Solomons, Maryland, in support of FRC ASE.� See attached Statement of Work for details. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.� It is the intent of the Government to solicit, negotiate, and award a fixed price contract, on a sole source basis, to Collins Elbit Vision Systems, LLC, Fort Worth, Texas.� Collins Elbit Vision Systems, LLC is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Aircraft FACT Tool P/N MB559B-02 / NSN 4920-01-599-9168 and they hold the proprietary rights to the technical data for this item. This Acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, ""Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.""� However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.� A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
