Description

The purpose of this amendment (A00002) is to answer questions regarding Solicitation No. 36C24820Q0495. These questions can be seen below: Will the contractor have to dismantle and remove the fill media to clean them off-site to avoid contaminating the VA facilities and drains with scaling residue? Yes, but only for the Tower Tech Cooling Towers. The other Cooling Towers have a collection system, which allows for scaling residue to be collected. However, such scaling residue, even though it will be collected, will have to be discarded off-site as well. Does this contract include the maintenance and repair of Variable Frequency Drives, and their replacement should they become damaged? Yes, as for the purposes of this contract VFDs are a component to the Cooling Towers. As a reminder, Submission of your response shall be received not later than 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, April 15, 2020 at wilfredo.perez3@va.gov.
