Description

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. A DETERMINATION NOT TO COMPETE THE PROPOSED PROCUREMENT BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT. The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS) Contracting Office (Code 440), hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm fixed contract, to Sargent Controls and Aerospace �5675 West Burlingame Road, Tucson, AZ 85743. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 6.302-1, (a) Authority. (1) Citations: 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) or 41 U.S.C.3304(a)(1) . A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The period of performance shall be 06/01/20 through 10/05/20. CLIN 0001 � Session One - June CLIN 0002 � Session Two � October �The contract will provide for Sargent, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), who has proprietary information necessary, to train employees, at there site, on the repair and maintenance of the Sargent Hydraulic Valve equipment, provide training materials, and provide a certificate of completion that is needed to perform any work on Sargent Valves. NAICS code: 611430-- Professional and Management Development Training (SBA Size Standard $12 Million) THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may identify their interest, a quote, and capabilities to respond to this requirement no later than April 29, 2020 12 PM, PST. Questions must be submitted no later than April 27, 2020 12 PM, PST. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS) Contracting Office (Code 440) will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR Sargent Hydraulic Valve Repair and Maintenance Training in the subject line. Documents submitted, will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Contract Specialist, Angela Charpia via email at angela.charpia@navy.mil or to Contracting Officer Ianthe Stevens-Ford at ianthe.stevens-ford@navy.mil . The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
