Description

The Library of Congress (Library) requires contractor support to provide maintenance for its Sony Navigator X (NAVX) media asset management (MAM) system. The Office of the Librarian, Multimedia Group (MMG) currently uses this system to track all of its media assets in daily workflow. All content being produced by MMG for live and video-on-demand is tracked and managed using NAVX. In order to maintain continuing operation of the NAVX MAM system, contractual support is required to maintain the system software and user licenses. The Library intends to issue a sole source award to Sony USA� to provide these services. In accordance with LC06.305, Availability of the Justification, the Justification and Approval to issue a sole-source award to Sony USA is posted with this notice. The synopsis of the requirement is as follows: One 12-month base�year. The entire period of performance is less than the simplified acquisition threshold ($250,000.00 as of the date of this notice). The draft requirements are attached, as is the approved J&A). The Library is not soliciting quotes or proposals from any other sources at this time. In addition, this notice serves as the Library's intent to sole source, the synopsis of the contracting action, and the public posting of the J&A and requirements document. A separate public notice shall not be issued for this contract. No other public notices shall be posted in regards to this solicitation.
